The Boomerang Academy of Victoria is owned and operated by champion thrower Bruce Carter. Bruce has competed Internationally for over 20 years. He was a member of the Australian team at the Inaugural World boomerang championships  held in Barooga New South Wales in 1988, It was here that he came to be noticed by being the only competitor during the four day event to do a ‘perfect throw’, in the Australian Round event, ie to have a boomerang travel out 50 metres before returning to the place of launch and be caught.                                                                                                                                                                                   Bruce has represented Australia in France (twice) Germany, Switzerland, St Louis U.S.A and New Zealand. In Australia he has competed in two World Cups in Barooga and Perth.  He has held Australian and World records and still hold the Australian indoor and outdoor fast catch records.  A former Australian Champion Bruce is now the Australian boomerang throwing coach. Bruce has performed his Night time boomerang shows all over Australia at major events and overseas. In 1993 Bruce was invited to feature & perform at La Foa. New Caledonia’s premier festival. Bruce has also performed in Fiji, France , New Zealand and America,  a true indication of this boomerang Wizard’s mastery. Bruce has also performed on many television shows with many famous performers. Internationally, he has featured on Japanese, English, Korean and Norwegian, Fijian & New Caledonia television programs. Bruce’s two sons Craig and Trent are both national champions and former world record holders. Craig is the current 2011 Australian boomerang champion. ABOUT US
